It's about damn time.

HCG is TWO! Which means negative!..........!!! AAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I mean Dr. OBG said it means negative. I protested, "isn't there a lower increment, like 'less than 2?'" She said "not really. Two is negative" I'll take it. I can't really believe it. In fact, I don't dare believe it. It could still come back up. But that seems less likely by the week thanks to this very-light-but-still-respectable AF I'm having and the fact that I haven't had a MTX shot in weeks and that I've been religious about prenatals! I know that people have an upsurge in HCG sometimes years after a molar pregnancy or choriocarcinoma (more typical is an upsurge within the first 6 months of a negative result), so I am not making any rash assumptions here. Just very greatful that I'm on the track towards normalcy.

I just keep thinking about it and smiling. What a change from the last six months.

Dr. OBG herself called to deliver the news, after talking to Dr. GO. They agreed I should get weekly tests over the next 6 weeks and evaluate as we go. I am hoping with every fiber of my being for the best. It's funny - because there is a risk that the levels could go back up, this is really just one more step on the path, just like any other drop in the numbers. But it feels more momentous to have your doctor say your HCG is negative. And that I should expect wonderful AF more regularly now. Wonderful wonderful AF. Let's hope!
