How far along? 18w1d
Maternity clothes? My collection is growing. However, I'm still in that awkward stage where my own clothes don't fit me very well but neither do the maternity clothes. The tops are too...voluminous. The bottoms are ok - when I'm not having to hike them up or cover the little pooch in the roll fabric where my protruding belly should be. My favorite maternity item so far is a stretchy black skirt from @nn t@lor loft.
Stretch marks? No. I apply lotion occasionally. I'm ordering Belli Belly Elasticity Oil to use as my go-to stretch mark avoidance tool. We'll see how that goes. It better go well at $40 a bottle.
Sleep? Man do I need a LOT of it. I slept ELEVEN hours last night, got up at 10, and then needed a nap by 3pm (in my defense - after taking a 1-hour walk). Ridiculous. But thank god for the weekend
Best moment this week? Someone asking me if I was prego without having been told (I'm officially showing!). Realizing that my baby and I are going to survive the flu shots!
Worst moment? Yes, I added this one. I made it up. Man, there are some doozies during pregnancy aren't there? Thus, a "Worst moment" question. I had a few this week. Two were the same as my 'best moment' answers - my encounter with the someone who asked if I was pregnant before being told and making the decision to get the flu shots. The others were, in no particular order: DH telling me how nice it is that my butt now looks like one of the k@rdashian girls' and my dog licking me (on the lips) after drinking half a gallon of standing water out of one of our flower pots. Gross! I was napping (see above) so I didn't see it coming. I've tried to be so careful of not letting them kiss me in the face but there are some things that are just inevitable I guess.
Movement? Grrr, I don't know. I have moments when I think I feel it so I make a point to drink a glass of ice water once or twice a day to see if that generates some extra 'movement' and...nothing so far.
Food cravings? Pizza still tops the list. Also chocolate, which I let myself eat in moderation. I don't allow any other source of caffeine so I figure it can't be so bad. I've been making a lot of egg salad and grilled cheese lately. In fact, I've been making a lot of food, compared to my usual self, in general lately. Lasangna and scones today. I don't know if it's 'nesting' (which I doubt is even close to hitting yet) or wanting to save money or particular food cravings or my recent phobia of having random restaurant or fast-food workers handling my food...whatever it is, it's kind of nice to do some real cooking. DH certainly isn't complaining.
Gender? Hopefully by my next weekly check in post we'll know.
What I miss? Still I miss not being so neurotic. I never thought this would be my #1 pregnancy complaint (or that I'd ever complain about anything having to do with pregnancy - which I am still loathe to do) but if I had to choose a #1 complaint, it's not the second tri nausea, not giving up alcohol, not sleep issues or weight gain. It's that I hate being so paranoid. I'm working on it though and I figure now is a good time to practice 'letting go' since I certainly don't want to cause the same tendencies in my kids.
Weekly Wisdom: I discovered antibacterial sani-wipes this week! Brilliant.
Emotions: Not so hot this week. It doesn't take much to turn me into a blubbering mess. Last night DH rejected my idea to take a Hawaiian vacation before the baby comes because he's too busy at work. He then said he couldn't come watch a movie with me because he was working right then. I just started crying, imagining my life playing out like the bitter wife with the husband that hates his job but who's chained to it and us never having any fun ever again. When he noticed he definitely improved his attitude. Still not sure I'm going to get to Hawaii this year though.

I hope you get to take a vacation, even a small one!
I wasn't working, but I lived in my leggings and tops a size larger or xs maternity tops til about 6-7 months with my son. This pregnancy the jeans fit a bit better but still don't fit as well except my one designer pair I got half off lol.
Also I think I told you about the stretch marks and what my OB said to me... Not sure. She (and another doc) confirmed if your mom had them you are much more likely to get them and it is how much weight you put on and how fast. I didn't get any with my son and gained around 28 lbs by the time I was 2 wks overdue and have gained 11 lbs this pregnancy and am 29 weeks. I have 8 1/2 lb babies though lol. And my mom had 4 kids and not a single stretch mark lucky her!! It is all worth it stretch marks or not of course, I just don't want you to spend $40 if you don't need to! ;) but if you want to that's another story! ;)

let me know if the stretch mark cream works, as far as i know there is no way to prevent them, if you're going to get them, you're going to get them, but if there's something that works i want to know about it!! can't wait to hear about your next ultrasound!
Happy 18 weeks!! I also miss not being so neurotic!!
I love that you do this with all the questions. I can't wait to get pregnant so I can do it too! All my cravings are the same as yours =) (at least you have an excuse to indulge!)
